My new cruiser!

I finally bought a bike for myself! It's been almost a year since i've had a bike. Check out the basket on the front pops off so you can take it in the store, fill it up, and then pop it right back on. Brilliant! I love the way it looks, its just really hard to get up 3 flights of stairs. Oh well. I'm still in the honeymoon stage!

Art Car- Happy Friday

This car definetly caught my attention when I was walking to work. If you check out the bumper really close, it has those iron together bead thingys.

I finally have a craft space

One thing that has been inhibiting progress in my etsy store is not having a good place to work. But now I don't really have any excuses because I have this lovely somewhat clean table with lots of inspiration on the wall. Yay!

Modern Economy Shopping Spree

I went alittle nuts buying stuff at Modern Economy this morning. It was easy to convinced myself that it is ok to splurge this time becuase I am supporting independent artists and designers. Anyways I'm super excited about all the fun things i have for my apt. Take a looksie!

What the heck are you really buying?

Its not too often that your food actually looks like the picture on the front of the box. Even with my very limited experience with food photography, I know there are all kinds of tricks to style and photoshop the food to be more appealing. I personally think it is false advertising to misrepresent the product you are buying. Check out this website to see a bunch more examples.

DIY Inspiration Wall

For those of you that live in rentals where you can put nail holes in the wall, this is a really easy project to transform your wall. I just put thumb tacks in the wall and wrapped wire around them to create horizontal lines. Then I got adorable miniature close pins to hang paper. Thats it! It's really simple and there is little damage to the wall.

Google Earth

Last weekend I was headed to see my family and friends for the holiday weekend. As my plane lifted off, portland became tiny patches of trees and the Willamette river shrunk to a scribble the four year old boy behind me looked out the window and piped up, "Look, it's google earth!"

This is scary!

On a lighter note, the view from my window seat was really cute. The earth has poka dots!
